Catherine Kruppa, MS, RD, CSSD, LD

Catherine Kruppa, MS, RD, CSSD, LD earned her Bachelor of Science in Nutritional Sciences and Master of Science in Nutrition from Texas A&M University. She is a registered, licensed dietitian, and wellness coach.  She is also Board Certified in Sports Nutrition and nutrition consultant for Green Plate Foods. She specializes in weight management, sports nutrition, diabetes, gastrointestinal disorders, endometriosis, heart disease, and pediatric nutrition. She served as the Director of Nutrition for US Diving for 11 years.  Catherine was a member of the Texas A&M Varsity Diving Team and is currently an active member of the running community in Houston. She has competed in 6 triathlons, including two ½ Ironmans, 17 marathons, 3 ultramarathons and is a 14 time Boston marathon qualifier. Catherine provides nutrition tips for Houston’s KSBJ FM 89.3 and nationally syndicated KLOVE radio.

Catherine is a frequent speaker for many organizations and businesses. She speaks on various topics in the area of nutrition such as: healthy eating, weight management, disease prevention, nutrition and exercise, and osteoporosis. She has also presented programs for Channel 13 News Health Beat, Channel 2 News, Channel 8 Midday Show and Fox News. She also appears regularly on the LiveWell Network, a home, health and lifestyle channel owned by ABC. Catherine worked as the local dietitian for the Dr. Phil Ultimate Weight Loss Program and the dietitian for the 2004, 2008 and 2012 US Olympic Diving Teams as well as for Former President George H. W. Bush, Olympic Gold Medalists Laura Wilkinson and David Boudia.

Melissa Hawthorne MS, RD, LD, CDE

Melissa Hawthorne, MS, RD, LD, CDE earned her Bachelor of Science in Nutritional Science from Texas A&M University and her Master of Science in Nutrition from Texas Woman’s University. She is a registered, licensed dietitian, wellness coach and a certified diabetes educator. She specializes in weight management, nutrition wellness, diabetes management, insulin resistance including Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS), nutrition and pregnancy, pediatric nutrition, and sports nutrition. Spending most of her childhood as a competitive gymnast, Melissa was fortunate to have supportive mentors that taught her about nutrition and healthy eating. Now as a registered and licensed dietitian, Melissa enjoys passing on that knowledge by teaching individuals about the benefits of good nutrition and exercise, as well as motivating them to achieve a healthy lifestyle. Melissa is also speaker for a variety of corporations and organizations in the Houston area.

Brittany Link, MSW, RD, LD

Brittany Link, MSW, RD, LD earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Master of Social Work from Tulane University. She is a registered, licensed dietitian, and wellness coach. Her nutrition focus is in wellness, weight loss, healthy cooking, and disease prevention with a special interest in specific diets including but not limited to: vegan/vegetarian, gluten free, grain free, dairy free, anti-inflammatory and FODMAP friendly.  Brittany loves to cook and has combined this hobby with her passion for health and longevity to help clients cultivate a diet that is focused on clean eating and real foods.  In working with Brittany, clients will learn to develop sustainable, healthy habits that will become a lifestyle, lasting them beyond their immediate goals. Brittany grew up as an athlete and continues to integrate movement into her everyday life, enjoying everything from running and tennis to Pilates, barre and yoga.

Kristin Kabay, MS, RD, CSSD, LD

Kristin Kabay, MS, RD, CSSD, LD is a native Houstonian and practicing dietitian. She studied nutrition and psychology at the University of Houston, eventually earning her Master of Science in Nutrition. 

Kristin ​is a registered, licensed dietitian and a Board Certified Specialist in Sports Dietetics with years of experience working in healthcare, corporate wellness, and the fitness industry. She's coached countless individuals to help them reach their health and fitness goals through a personalized approach toward nutrition and fitness. 

Whether you're trying to drop a few inches, fuel for your next marathon, or develop a healthier lifestyle to lower your cholesterol and ditch your medication, Kristin can help you in variety of areas.

Kristin specializes in sports nutrition, improvements in weight and body composition, plant-based nutrition, cardiovascular nutrition, gastrointestinal nutrition, overall health and wellness as well as corporate wellness.

Starla Garcia, M.Ed, RDN, LD

Starla Garcia, M.Ed, RDN, LD is a University of Houston cross country and track alumna. She studied nutrition at the University of Houston and earned a Master of Education in Health Education.

 

Starla is a registered, licensed dietitian with years of experience working with clients in hospitals and outpatient clinics manage their conditions to find their true wellness. She specializes in women’s health, weight management, pediatric nutrition, diabetes, heart disease, eating disorders, gastrointestinal disorders, as well as sports nutrition.

 

She incorporates key practices in her counseling including: intuitive eating, exercise and self care.  She also enjoys helping clients balance their love for all kinds of food to allow them to live their best life.
